Here is a great posting forwarded on from my colleague, Bret Biornstad, who is so good at this kind of thing:
Here is an example of how
you can maximize the proceeds. Let's say there is a book you'd like to buy at
Barnes and Noble. So you spend $50.00 on Barnes & Noble gift cards from the
scrip order form, Fisher's Landing gets 9% and you get $50.00 in gift
cards-nothing extra out of your pocket. After you get your giftcards, you go to
GoodShop and type in Fisher's Landing as your charity. So you place your order
through GoodShop to Barnes & Noble and Fisher's Landing gets another 3% of
that order. If your order is over $25.00 you get free shipping. GoodShop also
has coupons so you might save some money on your purchase.
Of
course you can also use GoodShop without using scrip. Just go their website and
see all of the stores that are represented, just about any place you may think
of; clothing, travel, food, etc. I have bought books, shoes and even airtime for
my phone through GoodShop.
Click here ===> GoodShop You have
saved gas, money and benefited your child's school all at the same time. Now 9%
and 3% are not much but they do add up to much more when you consider how
many children attend our school. If every family ordered a
minimal order every month from places they shop at anyway like Fred Meyer,
Safeway, Gap, Old Navy, Penny's, Home Depot, etc. it would greatly benefit our
students. Let your aunts, uncles and grandparents know about it. Look for local
businesses to
support for higher percentages back to
us.
Order a few gift cards from the scrip order form every
month and save them for times when you need gifts like birthdays, weddings, and
holidays. It can be your own little private gift savings account. The holidays
are coming!
